Local students selected for 2008 Youth Tour

    LUCEDALE, MS – Three area high school juniors were recently selected to represent Singing River Electric Power Association during an upcoming statewide leadership workshop in Jackson, Mississippi and the annual National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Youth Tour of Washington, D.C.
      Philip Bridges of Perry Central High School, Laura Polk of East Central High School and Robert Wineski of Ocean Springs High School were chosen through an interview process with candidates from 13 local high schools. All candidates must have a 3.0 grade point average, be involved in extracurricular activities, active in youth leadership organizations and have a parent or legal guardian who is a Singing River Electric member.
